August 15-17 Strike Preparation
After four days of casting ballots last week, thousands of IFPTE Local 21 and MEF-AFSCME Local 101 members have voted by an overwhelming 99% to authorize a strike. As a result, our bargaining committees have scheduled a three-day strike from Tuesday, August 15 through Thursday, August 17.

Picket Line Information:
The larger the picket lines, the stronger our strike will be. Sign up for a shift each day! All are welcome to join us on the picket lines.
Picket lines will be kid-friendly and pet-friendly.
Lunch, snacks, water and coffee will be provided.
Plan to wear your teal 'Staff Up San Jose' shirt, Local 21 blue, or AFSCME green.
